Do you know how to take care of your skin before the laser hair removal treatment? Here you have a few rules to follow:

- 6 months before: Stop taking any oral administered retinoids
- 4-8 weeks before: Do not use any hair removal method such as tweezers, wax or electric hair removal devices. Razors and shaving creams are allowed
- 4-6 weeks before: Limit your sun exposure and stop using tanning beds, tanning lotions or any other artificial tanning methods
- 4 weeks before : Do not use any creams or ointments that contain in their formula vitamin A, vitamin C, fruit acids and retinoids
- 1 week before: Stop using photosensitive (phototoxic, photoallergic), herbal medicines (St. John’s wort, calendula) and cosmetic products with exfoliating properties (e.g. peeling/scrubbing)
- 1 week before: You should have your skin hydrated, so feel free to increase the use of body lotion 1 week before the treatment to make sure your skin will be in good conditions
- 1 day before: The skin must be hair free for the treatment, so shave carefully and leave a small patch of hair unshaved. This unshaved area will be “Patch tested” to verify the hair color and thickness by the Laser Therapist
