The perfect way to get rid of unwanted body hair. Laser hair removal! How much does one treatment cost? What is the price of a package of treatments? It could be cheaper than you think. Nowadays, laser hair removal is the most effective way to get rid of unwanted hair from different parts of the body. There are other methods of hair removal which can prove to be effective and give you temporary relief from unwanted hair. Home hair removal methods, such as the use of a disposable razor, wax strips or sugar paste, have their effectiveness however this is very short-lived as repeat treatments are required. However, it must be remembered that these methods are partly painful (wax!) And mostly short-lived. If you shave with an ordinary razor, your hair can grow back on the same day. And that means frustration and, most of all, a waste of a huge amount of time.

Laser hair removal is an investment into you for the future to be hair free and no more shaving! Laser hair removal offers a permanent reduction which is a great way to get smooth. The key is to choose the right correct clinic and the best technology. At Envie clinics, we employ the best-qualified specialists and use innovative tools, incl. SPEC3 Hybrid laser that works well with all skin phototypes. In no other salon, you will find this type of equipment that not only is able to remove light hair but also, thanks to the SHR system, ensures a virtually pain-free treatment. The laser hair removal machine also has the added benefit of additional cooling within the hand piece and also as a stand-alone option. The cooling on its own can help cool more sensitive areas. These areas are where you can feel the heat more than any other area. If you choose Envie clinics, you can be sure that the entire laser hair removal process will be carried out in full compliance with safety rules. Before the course of treatments, you will have a consultation with an Aesthetic Therapist who will assess the condition of your skin, perform a laser test and conduct a thorough consultation (to rule out contraindications). The Aesthetic Therapist will also assess the number of treatments that will be needed to gain the optimum results from laser hair removal from a given part of the body. This way you can easily calculate how much laser hair removal costs.

Many people think that laser hair removal is very expensive. Is it really? When compared to buying high-quality razors or shavers then the cost of the laser is relatively cheaper. As with laser hair removal once you have had your course of the session you will no longer need to shave frequently. What areas can I get laser hair removal? Laser hair removal is a very universal procedure. It can be used on almost any part of the body. In women, the most common treatments are the bikini area, armpits and legs – calves and thighs. Many patients also decide to remove hair from the back, shoulders, neck, shoulders, abdomen and buttocks. Many men also choose laser hair removal for the neck (removing hair from the torso/bust and nipple area). Clients can also decide to remove hair from the face area – upper lip, i.e., moustache, chin, sideburns and the area of the auricle. At Envie clinics, for safety reasons (eye protection), laser hair removal is not performed around the eyes and eyebrows. Hands and feet are also areas for laser hair removal – the hairs in these parts of the body can be extremely troublesome.

How much does laser hair removal on individual parts of the body cost? The best way to get rid of unnecessary hair. You already know that this is laser hair removal! The cost of a single treatment is not as high as you think. The price of a single visit to the Envie clinic can cost as little as £45 for one small area or £69 for a larger area.

However, that one visit to the salon is not enough to achieve the desired effect. A series of treatments should be performed. The laser works only on hairs in the active growth phase known as the Anagen phase. Anagen growth phase each session around 10-2% of hair are targeted during that session. And as science does not allow us to know which hairs are the growth phase a course of treatments are recommended to gain the best benefits from laser hair removal.

That is why you need to go to the treatment several times. Many of our existing clients know by now that laser hair removal is a journey, and it can take a number of sessions to get the desired result. 6 treatments may get you to a desirable result however regular appointments every 4 to 6 weekly and following the pre and post care will also help gain the best results possible, you will see the effects after the first meeting with the laser therapist. Remember that it is better to order a course of treatments as each session will target more and more hairs in the active growth phase known as the anagen phase.

Are 6 treatments enough? Well the hair growth cycle is a continuing cycle like most of the body’s cells. Hair is a living appendage of the skin. It is continually growing and shedding as per the hair growth cycle. The hair growth cycle happens in 3 stages the Anagen phase which is the active growth phase, Catagen Phase which is the transitional phase and the Telogen phase is when the hair is resting phase. Below you will find out the stages in more detail

Hair Growth Cycle

Hair on the scalp grows about .3 to .4 mm/day or about 6 inches per year. Unlike other mammals, human hair growth and shedding is random and not seasonal or cyclical. At any given time, a random number of hairs will be in one of three stages of growth and shedding: anagen, catagen, and telogen.

Anagen

Anagen is the active growth phase of the hair. The cells in the root of the hair are dividing rapidly. A new hair is formed and pushes the club hair (a hair that has stopped growing or is no longer in the anagen phase) up the follicle and eventually out.

During this phase the hair grows about 1 cm every 28 days. Scalp hair stays in this active phase of growth for two to six years.

The hair on the arms, legs, eyelashes, and eyebrows have a very short active growth phase of about 30 to 45 days, explaining why they are so much shorter than scalp hair. Scalp hair can grow much quicker for some people however this depends on the stage the hair growth is in.

Catagen

The catagen phase is a transitional stage and about 3% of all hairs are in this phase at any time. This phase lasts for about two to three weeks. Growth stops and the outer root sheath shrinks and attaches to the root of the hair. This is the formation of what is known as a club hair.

Telogen

Telogen is the resting phase and usually accounts for 6% to 8% of all hairs. This phase lasts for about 100 days for hairs on the scalp and longer for hairs on the eyebrow, eyelash, arm, and leg. During this phase, the hair follicle is completely at rest and the club hair is completely formed. Pulling out a hair in this phase will reveal a solid, hard, dry, white material at the root. About 25 to 100 telogen hairs are shed normally each day.

Even scientists do not know when the active growth phase starts for the hair hence we recommend a course of treatments and not one single treatment as this will enable the laser to have an impact on the hairs in the active growth phase. Treatments for laser hair removal are usually 4-6 weeks and this is the time it can take for the hair growth cycle to complete ensuring active growth phase hairs are targeted during the laser hair removal session.
